September
9/11 - Michael, Lyle, Doug, Trent and Lisa competed in the Atlanta Track Club's Ekiden relay race, finishing 3rd out of 8 teams in the mixed gender small corporation division and 60th out of 160 teams overall. The ekiden is a great event and a real gift from the Atlanta Track Club. Everyone is looking forward to next year's race when Gwen will make her WLG running debut and Dr. Jen will be able to compete again.
June
6/29 - Michael Warshauer was a featured lecturer at the Gary Christy Memorial Georgia Trial Skills Clinic at the University of Georgia last Thursday. He spoke on the use of demonstrative evidence at trial. Last Wednesday Michael chaired the first ever GTLA Political Summit at the Georgia State Bar headquareters in Atlanta.
6/21 - Michael Warshauer will be attending the Gary Christy Memorial Trial Skills Clinic this upcoming weekend in Athens, Georgia. He will be serving as a faculty mentor, helping other Georgia attorneys develop and enhance their trial techniques.
6/21 - Earlier this month Michael Warshauer received a 6-figure settlement in a product liability case for a client whose leg was crushed by heavy equipment.
6/17 - Early this morning Darl Champion traveled to Washington, DC to participate in the American Association for Justice Political Action Committee's Phone-a-thon. The PAC helps fund the races of federal pro-civil justice candidates and ranks as one of the top contributors to House and Senate candidates, both Democratic and Republican.
6/15 - Michael Warshauer attended the Senate Democratic leadership meeting this afternoon.
6/10 - One of our staff, Anne Gurley, took home the grand prize in "Riverwood Idol," a "green" themed American Idol-style competition organized by our office building's management company. Congrats to our Riverwood Idol!
6/9 - An announcement was published in the Fulton County Daily Report congratulating GTLA President Michael Warshauer and the 2010-2011 GTLA executive committee.
6/7 - Michael Warshauer, as the newly elected president of GTLA, spoke at the Wiregrass Trial Lawyers Association event in Americus, Georgia. Many local legislative leaders and candidates for statewide judicial offices were in attendance.
6/6 - Darl Champion volunteered with the Latin American Association's Copa Latina, an amateur soccer tournament and festival in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
6/2 - Doug Dumont will be attending Keenan and Ball's "Reptile" Seminar this coming weekend in downtown Atlanta. The seminar focuses on the reptile brain, and how and why jurors make the decisions they do and teaches plaintiff's lawyers how to make tort reform have only a negligible impact on juries.

5/25 - Michael and Lyle will be attending the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association Political Action Committee retreat. The PAC is a non-partisan organization with a primary objective of preserving and protecting the civil justice system and access to the courts for all Georgians
5/12 - A personal injury case was settled just before it was set to go to trial. This case involved a dangerous and defective product.
April
4/27 - Michael Warshauer received a favorable verdict in the State Court of Fulton County. Lyle Warshauer played an instrumental role in getting this case to trial, doing appellate work and oral argument before the Court of Appeals.
4/23 - Douglas Dumont received a favorable verdict in Dekalb County. His client sustained head injuries after a car accident.
4/23 - Michael Warshauer was inaugurated as president of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.
4/22 - Attorneys from the Warshauer Law Group attended the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association Annual convention. More than 400 attendees gathered to learn from over 150 different speakers in 16 different areas, including Champions Trial Skills, Criminal Defense, Family Law, Professional Negligence, Trucking, and Workers' Compensation.

3/16 - Today is a special day for one of our staff: Shannon Shaw gave birth to a baby girl, Emma Madison Perez. Congratulations to her and her husband Luis.
February
2/23 - As a member of the Aspiring Youth Program Committee, Darl helped host a final debate and reception at the DeKalb Regional Youth Detention Center for the Great Debaters Project. The project is a program designed to teach the young men at the center how to use debate rather than violence to resolve conflicts.
Lyle Warshauer was recently appointed as Editor of the Verdict magazine.
