Paralegal
Caitlin is a paralegal at Warshauer Woodward Atkins. She comes to WWA with an extensive background in grassroots community organizing and legal and policy advocacy. She has been active in social justice movements in Georgia for most of her life.
Before joining WWA, Caitlin was a senior investigator and paralegal at the Southern Center for Human Rights for many years. In this role, she led fact investigations for class action lawsuits related to the conditions of confinement in prisons and jails in Georgia and Alabama. Caitlin also worked on criminal cases, conducted juror and habeas investigations, and served as a mitigation investigator for cases involving children sentenced to life without parole.
Before her legal career, Caitlin was the founding director of the Real Communities Initiative at the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities. She later worked as a legislative consultant for Georgians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty, where she spearheaded efforts to lower the standard of proof for intellectual disability in death penalty cases during the 2017 and 2018 legislative sessions.
In her free time, Caitlin enjoys figure skating, dancing, tending to her garden, listening to live music, and reading books on her front porch.
